The title is a Bon Jovi song. If you haven't heard it then have a listen. I'll put a link to the Terrorbyte Spotify playlist at the end of this post. (Real life is in that playlist.) Last night I went back to the collection of 'western' crime stories I've been reading. There is a … Continue reading Real Life

[Foxtrot Mike Lima]
This morning I took a copy of [Foxtrot Mike Lima] out of the box on my desk and started reading it. Why?Because I haven't read it yet as a whole finished glorious thing. I've read it between edits. I've read it scene by scene and line by line. I've read it with changing things and … Continue reading [Foxtrot Mike Lima]
What is it about Emily?
If you've been here longer than two minutes then you'll know who Emily is (perhaps?) anyway, moving along, Emily Jones is a character in the Veronica Tracey Spy/PI Series. She enters in Book 2 [Lure the Lie]. As the series progresses she grows like any good character should. I like Emily as a character and … Continue reading What is it about Emily?
Humdinger
Edited! How fab is the word 'humdinger'? I think we should use it more often. Yesterday The Big Thrill zine came out and featured a recommendation for [Foxtrot Mike Lima]. How cool is that? (Just click the link have a read then pop back and tell me what you think!) I'm delighted. Writing [FML] felt like … Continue reading Humdinger
And just like that …
[Foxtrot Mike Lima] is alive and breathing out in the world. Or I guess it probably seems that way to readers. 🙂 :)I am quite pleased to have the launch behind me. I do enjoy them though. I love talking about writing and whatnot, so that bit is pure fun. The lead up though; the … Continue reading And just like that …
The joy of Spotify.
Today is the day before. It's been a mixed bag. Mostly a bit crap to be honest. First cake failed. Second cake isn't great. I don't why I've gone from making amazing cakes to shit but there you go. But, I just discovered that Spotify works with AirPlay and therefore I can hear my playlists … Continue reading The joy of Spotify.
The day before.

I have a few things I need to do today. 1. Bake the launch cake (it's chocolate) for tomorrow.2. Need to remember to get … Continue reading The day before.
Forever
I've been waiting for this album from Bon Jovi. It does not disappoint. I've included a link to the album on Spotify, at the end of this post. (You're welcome.)I think this could become the music for [Indigo Romeo Lima]. It just might work. I've kinda floated through music since finishing the FBI-Byte Series, nothing … Continue reading Forever
Margaritaville
I've always love Jimmy Buffet songs. This morning Magic played Margaritaville. It's a classic. Pain medication is slowly kicking in this morning. After talking with my Dr yesterday we've gone with regular pain meds to try and get this McWristy situation under control and back to a more managable 6. Lower would be nice but … Continue reading Margaritaville
The cake
As I sit at my desk and type this, a block of white fondant is sitting on the kitchen bench. I had thoughts about making some cake toppers for the [Foxtrot Mike Lima] launch cake. I got out the container of gel colours and my very cool edible ink/colour pens, and some modelling tools. I … Continue reading The cake
