Big thanks to Leonard Cohen for today's blog title. Yes, I will link you to the song at the end of this post. Leonard Cohen has a special place in my heart. Anywho, that's not the purpose of this post. This morning I created the Event page on Facebook for [Foxtrot Mike Lima]. That means … Continue reading First We Take Manhattan

The race is on …
Currently a proof from Amazon and a proof from Draft2Digital are winging their way to me. This morning it seemed like the D2D proof would win but now it looks like the Amazon one might be in the lead. One is coming from Sydney (Amazon) the other from Melbourne (D2D). It's an exciting race, to … Continue reading The race is on …
Crime writing? Hell yes!
I am super delighted to be teaching my crime writing course starting Saturday (17th of Feb). I have re-vamped my textbook and hopefully it will arrive on Tuesday/Wednesday. What the actual fuck Elly/Ellie Conway!
The more things change the more they stay the same springs to mind. Today has been trying to say the least. It cost me $38 … Continue reading What the actual fuck Elly/Ellie Conway!

Waiting …

I hope it does. I'd quite like to bring our big red bin in from the street but none of us … Continue reading Waiting …
Sometimes it gets to me:
Bit of a rant because I feel like I'm being stomped over and it is not pleasant. It would be nice to end the year with sales!I've given away more books than I've sold in the last few months. That's not sustainable in any shape or form. I think next year will be a year of … Continue reading Sometimes it gets to me:
Everything is hairy
All the animals are shedding like it's their job. The joy of spring time, I guess. Today was a planting day. Six tomato plants and two giant pumpkins. The pumpkins are named Peter and Petra. I may or may not name the tomatoes. We also planted mint. (When I say 'we' it was Geoff. I … Continue reading Everything is hairy
It’s over rover …
But it's not really over it's just beginning. The initial writing stage is over. Hopefully [Foxtrot Mike Lima] now has 97k worth of bones and sinew and is ready for a little bit of muscle. As much as I want to dive in and start reading this weekend, I am not going to. I am … Continue reading It’s over rover …
