Too much writing

Is there such a thing?
I think there might be. Feels like I’ve written an awful lot this week because I have. I’m tired. Rather, Brian brain is tired. I’m just kinda annoyed really.
Can’t really pin it on anything in particular – it’s a culmination of lots of things. So many fucking things. Best if we don’t go down that road.
Moving right along then.

Superman’s birthday today. He didn’t seem his usual cheery self. Was talking about the family bible and the newspaper clippings in it. I know what they are from. They wouldn’t be my first choice of reading material on my birthday, that’s for sure.
My birthday is next week and I certainly will not be looking at newspaper clippings. I have my own collection and they’re not in a bible. Mine are in a manilla envelope at the bottom of a box. They can stay there in the dark where they belong.

I don’t know what’s happening for Christmas this year – well, I know my friend Pip will come for Christmas and I will be making proper trifle (not the wussy no alcohol version, thanks), chocolate chip log, jelly trifle (for the non-cream loving kids – just in case I see them). Haven’t made a final decision on the turkey. Don’t have one yet so the decision will wait until I do. Could be cold roasted turkey and plenty of salads or it could be a full roast turkey dinner with all the veggies. I dunno. We’ll see. I probably will not make an *abomination because it takes a lot of effort, and McWristy would have a complete meltdown.
I probably should’ve planned a pre-Christmas family get together but time vanished, so there ya go. (Also big kids are busy with their own families and so forth.)

Anywho, that’s about it from me for now.
I could get some more writing done because I really want this story finished but more than likely I’ll find something mindless to stream and time will tick away.

* That’s what Superman calls it when I shove a chicken up a turkey.

  1. Happy birthday to Superman! And I’m really happy for you that you’ve gotten so much writing done, even if it’s been exhausting in its way. When creativity strikes, you need to be there for it. As for Christmas plans, it’s always wise to be flexible like that…

    • Thank you! Even though writing a first draft quickly is exhausting it’s also oddly satisfying! Of course, the story veered away from those two line chapter outlines sometime back. (It’s on course, so maybe veer isn’t the correct word … more like something extra popped up and pulled it in a slightly different direction but still same enough. Clearly, words are failing me LOL.)
