For the first time in a long time, I think I will finish my notebook before I finish this book. Usually, I have a few pages left for notes when I do the first read, but, not this time. I don’t think I’ve written more notes than usual. Maybe my notes are messier. We’re dipping into the ‘do I buy another moleskine?’ for this book, territory. It would have to match this one, so pale blue. It’s A5 or I could get a pocket one. Options. I love options.

Anywho, writing is going well. I have a shopping list of things that are happening in this story. Some of which will resolve in the next few chapters, others will stick around longer. The story is at a fun stage. Well, fun for me, probably not for my characters/people. [Indigo Delta Kilo] is 31 chapters in. I think I left it at the end of chapter 31.

Some new pins arrived yesterday. So there are 3 now. Teal [Veronica Tracey Spy/PI], orange [Plan B Experts], and blue [Smile for the camera]. I might be done with creating pins now. I have a fair bit of merch for this series. There’s even jigsaws. I don’t think I need anything more. (Except the notebooks and pens that are on the way … I think we all knew that giving me a National Pen account manager was dangerous.)

Yesterday was quite a nice day, windy enough for the washing to get almost dry before a rain storm hit. Very annoying. Today it’s sunny without the wind. Seems we can’t have everything.

This afternoon and evening are for writing. I am very much looking forward to that. Who knows what will happen next, certainly not me. Will everyone make it to the end of this book? Who can say? Again, not me. I’ll just write and see where it takes us. There’ve been some exciting moments thus far. I better remember to take my notebook otherwise things could go sideways in a hurry.

Johnny just looked at me, fully cross-eyed. She’s a funny wee cat.

As far as reading goes: I’m reading Michael Connelly: The Wrong Side of Goodbye. Enjoying it so far. (Hard not to enjoy a Bosch story.)
