December is our house is crazy busy. We have birthdays to get through before Christmas and then after Christmas. 🙂
One of those birthdays is a significant one for Doris. She’ll be 18. She told me what she wanted for her birthday months ago. She wants me, her Auntie Chrissy, and our friend Robbie, to dress up like Donna and the Dynamos (from Mama Mia) and perform Abba songs. We are going to do just that. She may have regrets! 🙂 Hopefully we can get in a wee practice on the day … if not, we’ll wing it, we’re good making shit up on the fly.
So, that’s coming.
Today, I’m sitting on my bed with Diesel. The animals all watched My Knight pack his bag this morning. They all were downstairs for their goodbyes. Now they’re sticking close to me. None of us like saying goodbye even when it’s just for a few months. 😦
So that happened.
I have tonnes to do and I’m doing none of it.
* There’s a basket of washing to fold.
* Presents ready for Christmas to stash.
* The bed to make.
* Sketches to choose and frame.
* A book I’m looking forward to reading.
* A scene that emerged on the Ferry the other night that keeps nagging me to write it.
* Dishes to do from last night’s dinner.
* Upstairs needs vacuuming.
* I really should open my diary and check what this week holds.

Edited to add Bon Jovi’s new Christmas song via Spotify. It pretty well says it all this year:
OMG, somebody has to record your Donna and the Dynamos set!! I have got to see that! Sorry to hear Your Knight had to say goodbye for a few months, but I’m glad you had a good visit. And I’ll bet that scene will become a great story. In the meantime, that’s a great picture of the furballs!
No doubt it will be recorded!! It’s bound to be hilarious. We had a wonderful visit but it’s always too short.
Might fiddle with the scene in my head later today and see where it goes. 🙂
