I am going to have to get my arse into gear very shortly and get on with [Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra]. I have become entirely too slack.
It’s not like I haven’t written anything.
I did finish a short for an anthology and it is a Ronnie Tracey story. The thing I’m not doing though is getting stuck into the next novel. Couldn’t even tell you where I left the story because it’s been THAT long since I opened the file.
I just had a wee look. There are two files … the original when China makes a move on NZ and Oz (What are they doing right now in the Tasman Sea???), and the new version where that doesn’t happen because I really didn’t want to write the original. Thing is though, I wrote enough.
So now, I’m in that awkward situation where I might have been far too close and life is replicating fiction.
And I don’t want to do that again. I have a history with such things. It’s somewhat annoying. 🙂
In other news: I’ve been going through the FBI-Byte Series playlists.
They are good fun.
For those that don’t know: each chapter is named after a song. You can find the complete Spotify playlists on the ‘Playlist page‘. The songs provide a little insight into the chapters. They’re not there for no reason. Also, I listened to those songs while writing ‘whichever’ book.
I really need to talk to my writing buddy and get my head back in the game.
It’s been 42 days since I last wrote anything in my WIP.

It really is hard to get back into it when you haven’t worked on a WIP in a bit, isn’t it? I’ve had the same thing happen, and it can be tough. It is truly scary how close your idea came to what’s happening in real life, too!
