Self-explanatory post heading today. 🙂
As you probably know, I love a book trailer. I love making them. It’s the fun part of writing and I won’t give it away. You also know how much I despise ‘digital marketing’ dickheads. I’m not alone in that. Authors do not like being DM’d on every fucking platform by “marketers” wanting our hard earned money to produce whatever it is they’re selling at the time. Lately, it seems to be trailers. My answer is to send them to my YouTube channel then tell them to fuck off.
Seriously, fuck off with your bullshit and your ‘strategies’.

At the moment there is one of X posing as a writer (I think they’ve hijacked someone’s page). I’m 100% sure because the person is pushy then chatty then pushy again. I can tell immediately when the person is replying without AI help. So, I’m pretty sure my assessment is correct. I’ve been around a lot longer than AI and the internet.
That one is in my DM’s constantly. They will get nowhere with me. Meanwhile, I don’t mind wasting their time when it’s convenient for me.

Now to the point of this blog:
My friend – in real life! An actual person and we have known each other a while now – has a business called Virtual Smart Docs now not only does she provide all sorts of communication help but she creates videos.
(Can you see where this is going?)
Claudia created a video for me for ‘Fates Entwined: The Spellbound Bookshop’ series.
Now, I don’t hand over control easily. Hence I always make my own videos and have a blast doing so, but this my friends, this is glorious and just got on with writing while Claudia made it. (Bonus!)

Hold onto your hats.
It’s a doozy.

That’s an easy five-stars from me.
Also, communication was brilliant and anything I wasn’t sure about or didn’t so much like was sorted. Music is hard. And that took a bit before I hit something I liked that felt more like the story and it was all done with care and a smile! And therefore, I fully recommend using Virtual Smart Docs if you need a trailer or anything else done!
