I've always loved Ray Charles and especially Hit the Road Jack. You better believe I badly sing along with the backup singers. Who doesn't? Anywho, I spent all yesterday reading. I barely moved from my spot on the couch until almost 4PM when I had finished the final proofread and making any stupid little changes … Continue reading Hit the Road Jack

Saturday, May 18th
Yes, the date is the title for a reason. It's the date of the 'Badness by the Bushlands' Ngaio Marsh event at Upper Hutt central library. I haven't done a Ngaio event for a few years. Many reasons - mostly because I was away when they were scheduled or they were too hard for me … Continue reading Saturday, May 18th
Maybe Tomorrow
Thank you, Goldenhorse, for the blog title. No big surprise when I say I'm writing at the moment (I don't mean right this second, silly but I am so ...)Anywho, [IRL] is coming along nicely with a few big surprises thrown in to keep me on my toes. Such fun. Also, Scattered on Cloth is … Continue reading Maybe Tomorrow
There’s a warm wind blowing …
We are one-step closer to the physical launch of [Foxtrot Mike Lima]. Would've been nicer if the courier hadn't jammed a parcel that really was a bit big, rigid, and hard to grab into the letterbox. Instructions were clear on the bag "Leave by front door" ... had a feeling they'd take the easy road … Continue reading There’s a warm wind blowing …

Posters, rain, and writing.
Odd blog title but then I often have odd blog titles. 🙂 It's bucketing down here. Full on pouring with rain and parts of the yard are flooding due to the very dry ground. It can't absorb the water fast enough. Anywho, this morning I created the hardback cover for [Foxtrot Mike Lima]. Do you … Continue reading Posters, rain, and writing.

What’s a proof?
Easy, it's a mock-up of the final book. See, easy? Its purpose is to check the formatting, check the story, check the cover, and make sure everything is where it should be. It is ALMOST the final product. Almost, but it's NOT for sale yet and it's not had its last minute tweaks. Some of you know … Continue reading What’s a proof?
