Born this way.

I’ve always enjoyed Lady Gaga, so you can thank her for the title of today’s ramblings.
Born this way was the title of a chapter in Qubyte.
Worked then and it works today. 🙂
This week is busy and also there have been some fun things happen.
[Nothing happens here] is now an audio book and available via Apple Books.
Soundbyte is now an audio book and available via Apple Books – there were a few chuckles this morning when I listened to the sample because I say Noel a whole different way and it didn’t occur to me that it could be said any other way. Such fun!

In other news: I’m working on [Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra] and have given myself daily word counts. We all know I can be a little bit competitive so I have already exceeded the daily word counts three times this week. I’m to do so again today.

The pins I designed arrived a couple of days ago. OMG, I love them. I was a little worried that I had buggered up the design but I had not.
Now all I’m waiting for are a few more copies of Fates Entwined: the Spellbound Bookshop Boxed Set. They should turn up next week. I will pull everything out from under my desk shortly and triple check I have what I think I have!

Meanwhile, I’m reading as usual and I’m reading a book I’m really enjoying. Can’t remember what it’s called thought. (I read on my Kindle at night, we’re lucky I can remember anything about it.)

The launch of [Indigo Romeo Lima] is NEXT MONTH!
Starting to get quite exciting!

Here’s Lady Gaga for you:

  1. I’m really glad for you that those books are on audio. They deserve a very wide audience, and I hope you get a lot of interest in them. The pins look great, too! I give you credit for balancing writing [Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra] with the launch of [Indigo Romeo Lima]. I don’t think I could keep it all straight! I’m excited for your launch, though – very cool!

    • Oh, I don’t know if I ever keep the stories straight at a launch! I’m always in the midst of writing the next one when I launch one! Cannot say I’ve ever kept them straight LOL. (But no one can tell if they haven’t read the latest one!!) Fingers crossed that audio makes a difference and my books sell like hotcakes! I could very much do with the universe stepping in and lending a hand in that regard. 🙂
I really must get my ‘launch’ notebook out and start writing talking points! Such fun.
And get a price list created, printed, and laminated for the night. (Makes things so much easier!)
I appreciate all your marvellous support. xxx

  2. Wonderful news about your audiobooks Cat! Do you narrate them yourself?

    • No, I very much do not narrate them myself. I would balls it up every time I opened my mouth. It would truly be dreadful. 🙂
D2D and Apple have collaborated to produce audio books using AI and offer it free of charge. Considering I’d never be able to afford the studio time or anything else it’s brilliant for me! Apple does all the quality checks and so forth. The guts is – you don’t get to hear it before they release it and it has to be in the Apple Store for six mths.
I have no problem with any of that. I had major issues with Google using AI a few years back because it was awful to listen to and they didn’t provide any kind of checks or anything. Apple have been working on this project for a long time and I trust them to do everything. 🙂 🙂
