We’re having a time.

It’s neither good nor bad but it is frustrating. Just when you think something looks good – reality hits – and it turns to shit. Such fun. Anywho, on we go, until we find a balance/compromise we can live with. Currently the options are limited. Not everything is up for compromise. 🙂

Did you enjoy that wee paragraph? Only a handful of you have any idea what’s going on and that’s the way it will be, for the minute.

In other news: I opened a file titled [Indigo Delta Kilo] yesterday and wrote a paragraph. I know, amazing. The most I’ve written in weeks. What should I be doing?
Not writing the 9th Veronica Tracey Spy/PI novel!
I should be working on ‘The Device’, which needs to be in first draft stage in about 5 weeks.
Have I done anything?
The hell I have. *Shakes head* It’s not looking good for ‘The Device’. It’s stuck at 3 chapters and my will to work with new characters has stagnated.
(There are a lot of reasons for the stagnation but to be honest they feel like poor excuses in a ‘dog ate my homework’ kinda way.)

Today is cold. COLD. (12 degrees!) I’ve put the heat pump on. It seems we went right from shitty wet summer to cold wet winter and bypassed crisp clear autumn days. It’s bullshit. I’m over it already.

And I just thought about the upcoming launch and realised I didn’t have a press release ready. I couldn’t believe my slackness … it’s next month people. NEXT MONTH.
Book Seven of the Veronica Tracey Spy/PI Series, [Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra], is almost here!
I’d better get to work on the press pack and whatnot.

So busy avoiding writing …

  1. Sorry things aren’t working out for you the way you’d hoped. As you say , that’s life, but still! And I know what you mean by the way your writing is/isn’t coming along. That’s the thing, isn’t it? Life gets in the way of writing which gets in the way of life. I have to say I like your new title idea, and I’d love to know what’ll happen in the story. But that’ll happen when it happens. In the meantime, one thing at a time…..
