I am writing [Indigo Delta Kilo].
While I was walking home in the rain this morning, I was thinking about the story. It occurred to me that I needed to create some tech. (I know, again!) The little tiny device that is in use in the story isn’t alone. It’s part of something much bigger – but no one knows that yet. Fun!
So, I needed to think about that in a larger scale. And that led to developing exactly the tech I wanted to use – because it doesn’t exist. (I hope it doesn’t exist because if it does – it would turn things on their head pretty fast.)
Part of the fun of this series, for me, is that I get to create all sorts of things. And I love it. It appeals to my geeky side. Today was that day. I inadvertently created something big and connected in a way I didn’t see at first and Ronnie hasn’t yet seen the breadth of it. She thinks she’s dealing with something that’s dangerous but she has no idea how big and how dangerous. There lies the big joy for me. 🙂
I nearly said, I haven’t even killed anyone yet – but that would be a lie. I haven’t killed any main characters, dogs, or Nana’s. No one we care about has died. There are things we did not know about Ronnie that come out. I was surprised but I don’t know why.
Anywho, writing. Enjoying it. We’re counting down to the soft launch of [Echo Mike Papa] on the 31st. This series is moving along.
I actually have a quick cover mock up for [Indigo Delta Kilo] because I created an ePub so I could read the story so far and decided I wanted a cover. (Of course I did.)
It looks like the image below but without the watermarks.
