Well, I’ve been haunted in my sleep.

Last night I fell asleep reading [Whiskey Tango Foxtrot] and had some crazy dreams.
It’s not the first time I’ve fallen asleep reading [WTF] but it’s the first time I’ve read it like it is now. Pretty well done. It’s exciting reading it as a real (almost) finished book. It came in just over 85k.
I think the paperback is roughly 395 pages, it’s not even ready to be a proof copy yet. But I did do a quick and dirty paperback format trial just to get the right size cover template. That was fun. πŸ™‚ I really love the cover. I’m pleased when I was messing with the photo that I hit thermal. Don’t know what it is about this book that lends itself to such a bright cover. Maybe because it’s about a Zoomer (as well as other things), or maybe because Donald features quite a bit in this book?
Donald is a colourful character, no doubt about that. πŸ™‚

It’s quite political on Twitter this weekend and I’m over it. I really am.
I’m also over people who cannot keep their fingers off the tweet button when the person they’re “telling off” is a fucking dickhead who does NOT need the amplification. Anytime you make a comment on a fuckwits post/tweet you are lending them your reach. Why can people not understand that?
It’s fucking annoying. I don’t want to see their bullshit on my timeline so grow up and stop commenting on their crap. They can’t get anywhere if they’re spewing into a vacuum.
Rant over.
I would like to see less vitriol and more of tweets that make the world a happier place.

Anywho, [Whiskey Tango Foxtrot] is now up for pre-order. That’s exciting, right?
Here’s the link: [WTF]

So far this month has been dead when it comes to book sales for either series. That’s not terribly encouraging for bills that need paying and a physical launch coming up in August.
I’m not sure what the answer is regarding sales. I’m all out of options. So, that’s a mood killer.

  1. I know the feeling about sales, Cat… At any rate, that cover for [WTF] is fabulous, and really works for the story, in my opinion. Funny you’d mention dreams you have when you fall asleep reading a book; I’ve done that, too.

  2. I can hardly wait until the paperback of WTF is available and warming these cool hands I’m so looking forward to it No bad dream is worth the effort of the wait!
