I’m not ready for August. Wasn’t it just yesterday that it was March? Wasn’t it?
Where has the time gone?
Why is it moving so fast?
I need to let that go.
It’s book launch event week. It is EVENT WEEK. I am far too calm this morning for day two of launch week. I managed to wrestle my suitcase out from under my bed yesterday. (I did a lot yesterday, it didn’t take me all day to wrestle that suitcase.)
Why is the suitcase on my bedroom floor? It’s not like I’m going away. 🙂
Because it’s full of books and prize packs for Friday. The suitcase is not coming to the event on Friday. I will put the books into manageable bags and the prizes will go into something less cumbersome.
And that reminded me there are 2 quite large prizes for the draw (and 8 smaller). If I don’t manage to find bubble wrap and brown paper and brown paper tape before Thursday we will brave the horror of Kmart.

Still a few things to do launch wise: put the big trailer onto a flash drive, create the second trailer (maybe or use the one on YouTube), get the right sized round cake boards, make the cake (tomorrow’s problem), wrap the two large prizes, create my talking points – that will be a list, make the guest book!
I also need to finish the tickets for the prize draws now that I have paperclips (thanks Beryl and Pip).
At some stage I need to work out what I’m wearing and wash my hair. (Tricky the hair thing – washing it is relatively easy it’s the drying that’s a mission and a half.)

Clothes isn’t too hard. It’s jeans, always. The only part I need to think about is if I wear bootleg or skinny. If it’s bootleg then it’ll be heeled ankle boots. If I choose skinny it’ll be long black boots. Pretty well decided I’ll wear my black and white poncho. I love a poncho.
