Or why?
Could be both?
It’s going to be. 🙂
Anywho, we are back from our flying visit (via Ferry) to Marlborough Sounds and then Christchurch. We have visited the southern family.
Marvellous fun to be had.
And now?
Well, I’m teaching my Crime Writing Course from Saturday, so that’ll keep me out of trouble for the next 6 Saturdays. Will it? Or will I just spread the trouble around? I think we all know the answer to that.
Today was all about doing washing, organising a grocery delivery for tomorrow, and general tidying but to be honest the house was in pretty good shape (again). Needs a vacuum but that’s tomorrow’s problem.
I have made lasagna for dinner (for the next week – it is what it is).
While we were away I did write but not much. My Ronnie short story is getting longer. I’ll be slashing words shortly. I could actually bring it home if I sat my arse down and just did it but I’ve been fluffing about with the odd sentence here and the odd sentence there.
(They might actually be odd …)
Anywho, copies of ‘Don’t kill the chicken’ have arrived for my students. The final books for the April 11th launch have arrived. So now there are a couple of the ‘Fates Entwined’ boxed set book available. Such fun.
I might’ve just ordered some Veronica Tracey Spy/PI pins. (What??)
There’s no might have about it. I did. But I may have screwed up the picture by having the blank background too big around it. So … they might be shit and so small no one can see the gorgeousness. (Fingers crossed they’re not but even if they are, we live and learn.)
In other news: My pumpkin plants are out of control and I could not be happier. We have at least 10 edible pumpkins growing well and two or more Giants! OMG, I love pumpkin. I love my giants but I must say I’m more excited about the number of crowns and butterkins. 🙂 🙂
Doris did well to keep up the watering while we were away. She did a great job. (Possible G1 did a bit too.)

This is the pumpkin that grew in a crack in the path!

Here’s a better view…

Rainbows from my window!
I’m very glad you got home safely, and even more so that the house was in pretty good shape when you did. Now it’s a matter of those things like laundry and groceries; I’ve done the same thing when I travel. It’s good to hear you’ve made so much progress on your Veronica Tracey story – can’t wait to read it! And I foresee pumpkin pie in your future!
I foresee pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup, roast pumpkin, mashed pumpkin, pumpkin scones, pumpkin cheesecake … 🙂
I hope you like the story when it’s finally done!
