Every Beat of My Heart.

That’s right, the Rod Stewart song is today’s blog title. Why? Because I like the song. Also, because it’s the title of the first story in Cachebyte.
Words have been elusive since I arrived home from Mahau Sound. [FFS] isn’t moving along as fast as it did while I was away. It’s annoying me. (Of course it is.)
Anyway, it’s a blip, it’ll vanish eventually.

So, we’ve run two contests so far this year. The winner of the ‘Written in Leaves’ contest will be announced tomorrow. I’m considering an FBI-Byte Series contest. Before that happens though I need some stock and some merch specific to that series.
I just ordered some books. It almost wiped out my book launch account. It wasn’t even that many books. It’s quite expensive bringing these in from Aussie because the printer D2D uses charges like a wounded bull for shipping. (Amazon is relatively cheap when it comes to shipping from Aussie but we all know how much stress I’ve had from them over the years.) It pretty much cost me the price of the books to ship them. That’s why I don’t even have a full set of the ‘new’ covers!

Then there is merch. I have bookmarks for the FBI series.
I have designed some merch for the FBI-Byte Series but have yet to see it in person. When I clap eyes on it, I’ll know if it’s worthy of the series. (Fingers crossed.)

If this all comes together – the contest for the FBI-Byte Series might be a little harder than the other two just because of the cost to me. 🙂 🙂 Prepare yourselves for a bit of a challenge.
And then there is the decision about which book. It’s always Killerbyte. Maybe it won’t be this time.

Stay tuned.

  1. It’s always so complicated to do a competition, isn’t it? Especially if you have more than one series, as you do. As for word flow, I know the feeling. It will happen, and then the characters won’t shut up… 😉

    • It’s a feast or famine with our characters!
You’re right it is complicated doing a contest with multiple series. Some days I wish I wasn’t such a nice author (would be a lot cheaper). 🙂 🙂
