It’s been a week, a busy week! How is it only half way through? 🙂
So much to do and a lot of hurry up and wait.
Leonard Cohen has featured prominently in my playlists this week … as he does from time to time. Leonard Cohen songs even made it into the FBI-Byte Series as chapter titles. We’ve danced this dance before, him and I.
Seeing him live with Superman in 2013 was magical.
Every now and then, my soul needs Leonard Cohen.
Moving right along … we’ve got a book to launch, guys! And April will fly around quicker than anyone can imagine.
Today I ordered the author copies for the launch. Exciting! I also ordered a few more [Indigo Romeo Lima] copies because I need to send a few out to NZ judges of the Ngaio Marsh Awards. Such fun!
The joy of having a bank account just for book launches has made everything easier.
I don’t do debt. Ever.
I do planning and saving.
Hunting for what I want at a price point I can live with. It’s half the fun of the launch for me. I delight in finding different things to turn into merch for prize packs and I start that process about six-eight months out. (Pretty much as soon as I have a cover ready to go.)
Everything is planned and timed. I have lists for Africa. (Almost as many lists as I have pens.)
And now I have a couple of blurbs from two of my favourite authors. Check them out here.
I’m tickled pink. That Nick loved the story has given me a huge boost!
Anywho, the other thing I did today was upgrade my website plan. I’ve been toying with the idea for ages but never did anything about it. I looked at my book launch account and decided I’d do it today.
A few things caught my eye in news stories today. I have made notes. They tie into both [Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra] and [Echo Mike Papa]. It’s always interesting when I hit on something and then the news catches up. 🙂
