10 things about last week.

Will there be ten? Let’s find out, shall we?

1. I can’t remember Monday.

2. The drain layer (Jeremy) started digging the trenches. We could still use the shower and loo. Hooray! $$$$$

3. More digging. Some drains were replaced out the front on the street. Everything was hooked up so we could use the loo overnight. Jeremy brought some puppy things over that his pup has grown out of for Mr Puppy Pants.

4. More digging. The back pipes were replaced.
Mr Puppy Pants is an excellent guard puppy. I opened Doris’s bedroom door to tell her something early in the morning and he sat up behind her and growled (proper big boy growl) before he realised it was me. No one will get near her. That pleases me.

5. The trenches out the back were filled in all the way to the end of where the deck goes so My Knight could begin the rebuilding of the back/side deck this weekend. I spent a chunk of money at Bunnings $$$. (For the love of God, buy some books!)

6. Johnny Cake went to the vet for her spay and had a disturbing reaction to the opiate premed. She did not get spayed but we got her back alive thanks to Christine (our vet). By 9:30PM Johnny was walking straight and coming right. (She had to be intubated etc etc during her ordeal. Everyone was very worried.) $$$$

7. Our housewarming dinner party with the coven didn’t go as planned because of the above issue with Johnny but luckily I had a Birman expert on hand to cuddle Johnny and help keep an eye on her. (Yay for Robbie!) And we enjoyed our dinner even with a coven member MIA.

8. I remembered Monday! Adam the tree guy came over to talk about taking out the ugly very tall Cyprus (he also agreed with Jeremy that it was the tree that stuffed the drains), he’s going to prune four other trees as well. A few days later I chased him up and got his quote which I accepted … now we wait. $$$$

9. I wrote words. I don’t remember the words but I know I wrote them because I finally crossed 14k and another secret has popped up.

10. My vacuum cleaner had a wobbly. Something was stuck in the pipe but even when it cleared it did not want to go. Took some coaxing by My Knight to get it working long enough for him to vacuum the hall etc. (I’d done the garage and lounge.) I hope I don’t need another one but I probably do and that’s quite annoying after such an expensive week. (Again, please, buy some books!)

11. We need dehumidifiers for the house (yes the new house) because the windows are covered in condensation every morning now that it’s winter. The worst offenders are my bedroom and the hallway near my room. I looked at DVS or HRV systems but Robbie has HRV and still uses dehumidifiers – so why bother? We’re going with dehumidifiers rather than an expensive system, right now. That’s a Monday at Bunnings job! $$$

12. The pins arrived that I ordered so now I have two versions. The teal and a yellow (the yellow is in the image below).

13. The final files for [Echo Mike Papa] were loaded to Amazon. I tested the ground wood paper option and it’s really nice. Dropped 100gms off the weight of [EMP]. The files have yet to be loaded to Draft2Digital or Google.
Still can’t decide on a launch date. Or how I want to do the launch – do I want to have a library launch? Do I want to do this one at home? Who knows?

There were 13. I suspect there are far more things but I cannot recall them.

  1. Wow! You really have had some kind of week! Yikes! And soooo many hits to the bank account, too… *sigh* Yes, people, buy books! I’m sorry to hear about poor little Johnny. I hope she’s better now. In the meantime, I hope things settle down a bit…
