Light reading

This week’s light reading comprised of a security report, to be fair, that’s not unusual. What fascinated me this week was how close I am to the truth when I’m writing the Veronica Tracey Series. Such fun! Let’s just say that my bad actors are indeed a threat to our security. I knew that already, I just didn’t know how close I was. Anywho, on we go!

[Indigo Delta Kilo] is charging a long. I’m very much enjoying it. You know that feeling when you just don’t want to stop because you need to find out what’s next? Yeah, that.
It’s getting hard to stop myself and go do other things. But I know I need to. I cannot spend hours at my desk typing. McWristy doesn’t like it and my cortisone injection isn’t until July 2nd. I kinda want to get as much written as I can before then though. You know?

It’s been a busy week not just writing and reading wise. The drainage stuff is all done and everything is back to how it should be – barring the new grass that might take a while to grow. My Knight almost has the biggest portion of the deck back together, we need more screws so it’ll be a Bunnings trip later.

Doris and I are now waiting on the DVS tech to give us a time for installation. Fingers crossed that we don’t have to wait long. I’m looking forward to no condensation.

We are also still waiting to hear from the arborist. I accepted his quote but haven’t heard anything since. I think I need to poke him a bit. I want the backyard fence up ASAP and the tree needs to go first but also … they’re going to screw up the grass seed and that’s going to be annoying. Especially after our awesome drain layer went to the trouble of doing that. (In case you’re wondering: Jeremy from Jason Brown Plumbing.)

So two things and then we’re all good for the next twenty-five years. 🙂

I suppose I should get on with the day! So much to do.
Oh, I got myself an RF detector. Man, that’s a fun toy. It will find your hidden camera and audio bugs. Fun. It does squeal rather loudly when sound is on. It lives in my backpack because I trust no one and I’ve been in some particularly dodgy bathrooms in pubs over the years. And also, it’s fun. (And for research, right?)
