Since becoming a home owner in late March – it’s been busy here.

First were the sewer drain issues.
Two weeks after moving in we discovered we needed all the sewer drains replaced. Jeremy (from Jason Brown) bought us a few months by pulling metres of roots out of the pipes.

[Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra] launched about a week after that crazy moment.

And a few days after that I flew off to Perth for the first time in six years.
It was glorious.

Once back, I had to make a decision regarding the drains and I did. After Doris’ experience with Jarvis Plumbing while I was away, I went back to Jason Brown and accepted their quote as long as they were okay with My Knight coming home from Perth and doing the required dismantling of the big back deck. They were. That dropped the bill by $5000 so I paid for My Knight’s flights. 🙂

That meant he came back just a few weeks after I’d left Perth. (Such joy!)

Then I needed to get a tree removed (the one that screwed all the drains) and several pruned (30% off them). More fun to come with that. There’s a story there but all that matters now is that I got someone (Tree Rangers) in the end and the tree is gone.

I also organised to have a DVS system installed so we don’t have crying windows anymore. I do not want our lovely windows and windowsills ruined by constant moisture. That happens soon.

And then, Grandson 2 asked if I had a spare room in our new house for him. Of course. So, now we have G2 living with us. Doris is pleased. They’ve always been good mates. (She’s 7 mths older than G2.) He’s either at work or in class or out with his mates, it’d be rather hard to get tired of him. 🙂 🙂 For me, it’s similar to having Joshy home. G2 is very like his Uncle Josh. (Scary really.)

Meanwhile, I’m deep into the writing process of [Indigo Delta Kilo] – and I’m really enjoying it. At the moment I’m probably only writing about 1K a day but any amount is progress.

It’s been busy. Good busy but also expensive busy.

Sales would be amazing at this point!

In other writing related news: the first lot of paperbacks for the launch of [Echo Mike Papa] are on the way. I just don’t have a launch date or any clue how I want to do this launch. Perhaps I should give that proper thought and then make a plan! 🙂

FYI: the scammers are already starting regarding [EMP] – I’m thinking they must all be psychic considering the book has not been released and they’ve all read it and decided it’s amazing.
