Wanna name a character?

Hi!
Guess what we haven’t done for quite a while?
Run a competition.
Guess what we’re going to do over the next week?
Run a competition!

Prizes?
You betcha!
The New Zealand Winner will receive some awesomeness from 9mm Press.
We have some pretty cool stuff to giveaway.

An off-shore winner will receive awesomeness from 9mm Press but it will be digital awesomeness as mailing overseas is hit and miss these days – to be honest, it’s more miss than hit. (The last three parcels posted to the USA disappeared into a temporal rift somewhere.)

So, here’s the guts:
Cat is working on a new book. It’s almost finished and what she needs is a name, nationality, and description for a bad guy (guy in this instance refers to a person of any gender).
The book is a spy story set in New Zealand. We have Russian’s trying to intercept, we have Kiwi’s trying to hold on to some super secret intel, we have Aussie’s working with the Kiwi’s.
There is someone else involved and that is the person who needs a name, nationality and description (description does not require much detail).

The winner will be chosen by Cat as she’s the one writing the book. (Makes sense, right?)
To be considered there are three steps.

  1. Re-blog or share the post from Facebook. The original post is pinned to Cat’s FB page.
  2. Like Cat’s Facebook Page.
  3. Comment below with your character name, description, and nationality.

The competition closes on Nov 27th. Winner will be announced on Monday the 30th of Nov.
Anyone anywhere may enter.

Lure the Lie:
When an old friend in the intelligence community reaches out to Ronnie Tracey, a former NZSIS officer, to locate a missing cryptographer, Ronnie begins pulling at threads and discovers a backstory that smacks of lies. She isn’t missing she’s running and she has something worth killing for.

Lure the Lie rough blurb:
With her 94 year old Nana and the Cronies of Doom, her mad cousin’s ability to drop her in it with her Nana, a Private Investigation company that’s doing well, and a walk-in that smacks of both Nana and Donald playing fast and loose with the truth, former NZSIS officer turned Private Investigator, Veronica Tracey has enough on her plate to keep her entertained and the bills paid.
But when a whisper of a well-paying new job filtered through the back channels it proved hard to resist. The new job didn’t come alone, it brought with it, a former ASIS officer Dave Crocker (Crockett). Crockett, relished the prospect of being back in the game after four years manning a desk. Working together they began the task of locating a missing cryptographer. As threads unravel around the woman’s identity, Crockett and Ronnie realise she’s running not missing. She has something worth killing for and they’re not the only ones trying to bring her in.

  1. Kari Paunio is Finnish. He’s 6ft tall with dark blond hair and pale blue eyes. His nose was broken at some point and badly reset. He has a scar on his chin from being hit with an ice skate. His voice is low and soft.

  2. Marco he’s dark skinned, dark haired, very dark eyes. But his real name is Mark. He says he’s Italian & fluent in the language, but he’s really from the U.K. on the run & in hiding.

  3. Her name is Siân. She’s petite, red haired, green eyed & is lithe & trouble. She may be small but don’t be fooled she can kick ass & still walk away.
