But You Don’t Care

Thanks Mi-Sex for the blog title and the song, because it’s awesome and I’d forgotten just how cool you were.
Although, posting a YouTube video of You Don’t Care – got me followed on Twitter by some porn bot and also added to some weird-arsed Twitter group. So, nah. I won’t be mentioning the band name again. 🙂

I’m not currently writing. I’m waiting the new MacBook to arrive. It has a name now. Blue. Why? Because I needed to get a new protective case and it’s blue. Follow me for more creative ideas. 🙂 🙂

FYI – the whole byte series is still 50% off via Smashwords (and buying my books would be pretty fucking helpful about now!)

Also, you can get masks, hoodies, tee shirts and other cool stuff from TeePublic. I can say that the hoodies and tee’s are awesome.

I have been reading a book about word choices, that’s pretty much the gist. It’s a little more involved than that but not by much. Some of it gave us a jolly good laugh at writing group on Wednesday. It’s was dangerously close to a ‘dripping green orbs’ situation. If you don’t know what that is, you’ve never been to a writing class taught by me.
Despite the laughs some of the book was helpful. I spent a day going over word lists looking for “Crockett” words. It will make my life easier in the long run, if I have a more comprehensive list than I had. Next step is to go over the list looking for “Ronnie” words. Then ol’ Ben might get a look in. Anything that makes writing these three easier is a good thing.
After spending so long in Ellie’s world, stepping into a different part of that universe is tricky. Not always tricky. In some ways it’s easier. Ronnie for example, she’s a kiwi. I’m a kiwi. That should be easy. It’s fucking not. 🙂 But, Nana is. I dunno why. But writing Nana, no problem. Writing Jenn and Steph – also, no problem.
As soon as Blue arrives, I’ll be back into [Leave a Message] the next adventure with Ronnie, Crockett, and Ben. But also, back to work on something called ‘Life in the leaves’ which is a completely different genre and written because Kid7 wanted me to write a romance. *Shakes head* It’s not difficult writing, it’s just hard to be enthusiastic. I’m finding I’m thinking about it more at the moment so that’s a good thing. I’m trying super hard not to kill anyone or anything, so, it remains a romance.

Meanwhile – it’s stormy here and flooding. Winter has arrived with vengeance.
