[Foxtrot Mike Lima]

This morning I took a copy of [Foxtrot Mike Lima] out of the box on my desk and started reading it. Why?
Because I haven’t read it yet as a whole finished glorious thing.
I’ve read it between edits. I’ve read it scene by scene and line by line. I’ve read it with changing things and whatnot on my mind, not enjoyment. It’s been a while since the final read was done and now I can hold the book in my hands. Not a proof. Nope. The real thing.
The first thing that struck me was the weight of the book in my hands. I think it’s the highest word count of the Veronica Tracey Spy/PI Series to date.

Now I have a story about a very dear friend who just recently finished reading [FML]. She was so involved in the story that she waited for the six o’clock news expecting to see a news story about an incident in Europe. (I can’t give details because that would be quite the spoiler – best if you read the book yourself.)
There wasn’t an incident like she fully expected there would be.
But imagine if there was?
Yep.
Well, it wouldn’t be the first time I called something before it happened, would it?
Let me remind you about Qubyte and Vaporbyte. Yes, I did call the pandemic.
Might’ve also called the Twin Towers but that was a while back. And a plane landing on the Hudson. And a helicopter crash in NY. And the CHCH quake. Just little things.

So, I am reading my book like a reader not a writer. It’s always fun. Thing is I don’t remember a lot of the scenes as they are now, threaded through the story with characters and plot. I remember small snippets of video. Now I get to see the whole movie, if you will. And I’m enjoying it. I really do like the characters and their relationships. It’s fun for me to have a cast as diverse as this one and to let them all shine.

Meanwhile, I am working away on [Indigo Romeo Lima] and boy does that hold surprises in every video I see!

  1. Beautiful photo! I know just what you mean about reading the whole, beautiful, complete version of a book. Sometimes it’s good to ‘zoom out’ like that. I’m really looking forward to [Indigo Romeo Lima]!
