It’s a weird limbo situation:

Currently, life has a weird kind of limbo thing going on. I know it’s because I have, in a very short space of time, finished two manuscripts. Yeah, not just one. Hell no. Let’s make life really fucking weird and go for two.
I can’t even say I’m using this time to create covers and graphics and blurbs, loglines, taglines … because I already did that. Uh huh. [IRL] even has a very nice synopsis. Scattered does not – because I’m not writing one for that story. The End.
[IRL] is with my editor. (Becky and the most wonderful Margot – have already read it.)
Scattered has been read by Becky and is now being read by a couple of other people (one of them is Margot).
The fecking pre-order is up and running for Scattered on Amazon, Smashwords, and Google Play.
I know, I could’ve put links there and I didn’t.
What’s more I’m still writing this and I have no intention of adding links ^^ up there. (There’s a Scattered page under Fated Entwined: The Spellbound Bookshop Trilogy.)
Let your fingers do the walking, mine are tired.
Scattered on Cloth has October 31st as a release date.

So what am I doing?
Trying to stop myself from thinking about Lily’s story, which is the final story in the Spellbound Trilogy.
I don’t want to think about it because I want to have someone collaborate on that story. And what’s more that collaboration will begin in the weekend. So, there’s no point letting my mind go nuts with story lines and whatnot because my intention is to collaborate on the story from the beginning. All we know so far is the name and that it involves cartomancy. Lily’s story is, ‘Drawn from Cards’.

What am I really doing?
Good question.
Sweet fuck all.
My brain needs a rest and it’s going to get one for at least a couple of days. While that’s happening I will finish the dolls I’ve been making. (Probably.) I’ve got 40 colours of 30cm x 20cm felt to play with … I can barely bring myself to cut them because they’re so gorgeous as a block.

Today I dusted the lounge and vacuumed downstairs and the stairs (I also joined the Labour Party). I’m now doing very little because McWristy doesn’t like vacuuming (especially the stairs). And McWristy isn’t very pleased with dusting either — or finishing two manuscripts in short order. McWristy is a bit of a whiner at the best of time.

  1. Oh, that limbo state can be really unsettling, especially if you’re used to getting things done and being active. I know the feeling…. Anyway, I am in awe that you’ve gotten two books done in the last few months – that’s f’in amazing! I’m looking forward to your launches for both.
