Do I like you?

Welcome to ‘things I think about on my way to work’ Wednesday.

There’s a chance I do like you. A very good chance.

About the only time the answer will be an outright no, is if you are a digital pirate. If you are, you can fuck right off and get your sticky little fingers off my work. Yes, I am aware that makes me narrow-minded and that pirates are (supposedly) people too. Don’t even try and discuss piracy with me, thanks. They’re evil fuckers who steal from others. End of story.

My criteria for friends is simple. 1. Don’t be an arse (or a pirate). I could add be a reader because I believe reading is extremely important. It teaches us empathy and enables us to see into other lives and worlds. We learn from reading. Perhaps I should add read ‘purchased books’. 🙂

Things that I have no business knowing (but if we know each other well I probably do know.): Your religion. Your political views. Your job status. The bathroom you use. What’s in your pants. Your mental health. Who is in your bed. Your preference when it comes to Vegemite or Marmite. That list could go on and on. None of those things are friendship criteria.

If you are an arse then you’re an arse and we will not be friends. So don’t be an arse and let’s grab a coffee. 🙂

I am my own worst enemy sometimes, I really am.I’ve been trying to come up with a project to keep me busy and take my mind off being home and how much I miss #MyKnight.

Having just finished a novel, is a weird headspace anyway without adding time differences and being back home.
Yes, I have another book to write – but I need something that takes me out of my head, and writing keeps me locked in my head. (If you’re a writer you’ll understand what I mean.)

Been trying to keep myself busy now that Cryptobyte is waiting for editing and I’ve sent all the info and template to #daughter3 for the cover! [I need to slow the hell down.]

So I thought I’d reformat a couple of books for print. Thinking it might take me at least a few days to get them ready. Especially one that I completely revamped.

Readers, it did not. It barely took me a day. Now they’re both with the printer and I’m waiting for proofs. Also, I’m the worlds worst at waiting.
Have almost finished binge watching all five seasons of Hot in Cleveland and it’s been great. Laugh out loud great. [I’ve only been home a week! I need to slow this shit down!]
And there is only so much tequila I can drink before I run out of tequila. 🙂

Hi, I’m Cat …

Hi, I’m Cat.

I’m a writer. Good chance you’ve heard a whisper about my work. This is the place where you’ll find reviews, links, contact info, information about my work, competitions, and other bits and pieces. There are videos on various pages (turn your sound on).

FYI my books (individually) are cheaper than a good coffee, so, you have nothing to lose. You can read while drinking a coffee. I prefer to read while drinking a good tequila but whatever.

A few questions I get asked a lot;

Why Thriller writing? Thriller writing wasn’t a choice, it’s just the warped way my mind works. Easier to go with it than fight it.

Where can we find you? My work is available worldwide (at all good booksellers), you can find me at Writers Plot which is a unique bookshop that stocks ONLY Kiwi authors.

Who is Romeo? He’s my rescue Greyhound. He hangs out at home with his pals, Missy the fat gray cat, and the guinea pigs Bucky and Timmy.

What’s in the silver case?  Body parts … I’m not even going to try and explain that, on the plus side I removed the M9 from the case.

What are you working on now? I’m writing the 11th-byte novel, Cryptobyte. I’m also working on a screenplay.

Do you have an Everipedia page? Super excited to say I do have an everipedia page. Big thanks to Pete Turner on the Break it down show. 🙂

If you follow me on social media (and you really should) just be aware that some days my social filter doesn’t quite kick in at all, if I think it, I’m liable to say it … don’t say you weren’t warned.

Until recently I was published by Rebel ePublishers, USA, they’ve now closed so I’m publishing under 9mm Press and part of The Renegade Guild.
