Today is probably not the best day to fiddle with the content here. This could get interesting in a shooting-myself-in-the-foot kinda way.
Hi, I’m Cat.
Let me just say right off – Cat is NOT short for Catherine. You’ll never get it so just quit now. You may call me Cat or Ms. Connor if you require formality.
I’m a writer.
Mostly I write thrillers, mostly, but not always. Good chance you haven’t read my work, so, feel free to open a book and fall into Ellie’s world. You’d be wise to start at the beginning, although, you can start anywhere. I usually suggest reading Torrent before jumping into the middle of the series – just so you have some background. (Plus it’s cheaper than a coffee, so, you have nothing to loose. You can read while drinking a coffee. I prefer to read while drinking a good tequila but whatever.)
Thriller writing wasn’t a choice, it’s just the warped way my mind works. Easier to go with it than fight it.
A LOT of time is spent at my desk writing but I’m rarely still. I spend less time at my desk these days, due to co-running a bookshop that stocks ONLY Kiwi authors. Romeo hangs out with me during the day … he’s our rescue Greyhound. He’s silent – I appreciate that. I am not silent. Romeo is pretty much too old to hang out in the shop (he does occasionally because we are a dog-friendly space). He’s happiest waiting at home – with his pals, Missy the fat gray cat, and the guinea pigs Bucky and Timmy.
If I’m working, music is playing – at varying volumes. Bon Jovi is my usual work music. (That’s pretty much still relevant, except when I’m trying to write in the shop.)
If I’m not working, music is playing – at varying volumes … but often it’s the radio. Finding it hard to find a decent station to listen to these days. There is a case of body parts under my bed and it freaks me out. I feel like I should explain that? The case is now under the big desk at the back of the shop … I’m not even going to try and explain that, on the plus side I removed the M9 from the case.
I’m currently working on the 10th Byte novel. Slowly. Very slowly. I’ll get to the end eventually and then I’ll be having a nice long break. (I hope.)
Some days my social filter doesn’t quite kick in
at all, if I think it, I’m liable to say it … don’t say you weren’t warned.
Oh there was one?
I’m published by Rebel ePublishers, USA.
Oh, hang on, while you’re hanging around – there’s a Which Byte Character are you quiz. I dare you! 🙂
And, a wee Quiz about Ellie: How well do you know SSA Ellie Conway
