Monday, Monday

The weekend is over.
It’s full steam ahead into a new week!
I’m talking to council on Thursday, pitching a project that involves Upper Hutt, our bookshop, and the greater Wellington Region.
I’m hoping we get funding and then I can tell you all about it and start talking to some amazing local and regional authors who I’d love to have involved. So, today, I’m working on my pitch.
Lucky I have no problem talking to groups of people. As long as I know what I’m talking about, I’m all good. There will be a bit of thought going into that during the morning. Yes, I have a dedicated notebook – I know you’re all wondering. 🙂
I can tell you the project is called Inside Quote Marks.
Other than that, you’ll have to wait until I hear back from council! 🙂

Exciting stuff!

On Tuesday I have an author and entrepreneur coming in for a chat and to get her book on our shelves. Such fun!
I’ll also be reaching out to another author friend to chat about our project because she knows her way around such things. (We went to the same primary school in Invercargill – and she’s the only person I’ve ever met who went there!)

I should probably touch base with Crazy Maple Studios as well, this week.

[Lure the lie] has given me jip over the weekend. I thought (wrongly) that I’d written a blurb. *Shakes head*
Also, thought I’d written a synopsis. Readers, I had not.
Anyway … there is a first blurb now and a couple of shitty loglines. Everything needs work but at least there’s a starting point now.
Also, a video. Oh yes!
I managed to get a video trailer together, wanna see?
The music seems quite loud so maybe turn your sound down? 🙂 We’re hoping this will properly launch at the end of May or at least be available as digital versions then (I have my fingers crossed) with paperbacks to follow (finances allowing).
Here is the trailer for [Lure the lie]
