If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook then you might have seen me say I would share another bio that ChatGPT wrote for me. And I will.
Early this evening I had some fun with ChatGPT and got it to write bios for me and for my buddy Pete.
We’re both pretty sure that the ChatGPT version of us make a lot more money than we do.
Whatever, right? It was fun and it is fun.
The danger will come later when this sort of thing makes people question who they are or the lines blur so much we don’t recognise the real us anymore.
Ready for some AI fun?
Here we go:
The question … “Write a 2-paragraph bio for crime thriller author Cat Connor”
Simple, right?

If you’ve read any of the Byte Series you know it’s a series about serial crime more than it is cyber crime but there’s tech in them all.
Neither bio was touched by me. They are exactly how ChatGPT spat them out.
So what’s real?
It’s starting to feel like the premise of Databyte where information became misinformation and it was hard for anyone to know what to believe even when they saw it for themselves.
Where does the truth lie?
What is the source of these claims?
Will people even care down the track when these sorts of bios are floating around in cyberspace being quoted as truth?
Fascinating isn’t it?
Not at all scary …
Dallas playing with fire!

It’s a bit unsettling to think about the role AI is going to play as time goes on…
Yep. It’s learning fast and changing … we won’t know what’s true/human created and what the AI believes is true.
