Bloody hell it was not easy dragging this story over the finish line. I didn’t think I’d even get close for at least another week. I kinda thought yesterday I was getting close but I still didn’t expect to finish this week and certainly didn’t expect it to be today.
So hooray!
It’s a complete first draft and as shite as it should be for a first draft. I’ve already started going over the story just to see how shite it really is. 🙂
Anywho, done is done. Beginning, middle, end. So forth and so on.
I think I can actually have a break once I’ve made sure this story actually makes sense. A real break.
[Indigo Romeo Lima] is with my editor.
Scattered on Cloth is a complete shite-draft.
There is nothing in front of me that I need to do this year. I don’t want to start thinking that maybe there’ll be a Veronica Tracey Spy/PI Book Seven and I don’t want to start thinking about the final story in the Fates Entwined: Spellbound Bookshop Trilogy.
So, I’m not.
Although I probably should but I’m not.
Nope.
I’m geared up for the launch of [IRL] next year. (The only thing I need is books but that’s definitely not a now problem because you know we aren’t at that stage yet.)
Now I get to play with blurbs and graphics. I get to do the fun stuff. And I’m excited for it.
Right now, I’m going to have a glass of wine and be nice to McWristy who deserves a break.
Oh, have you all seen the covers?

I’m really happy for you that this d raft is done. I’ve always found that getting the first draft done is the hardest thing. The revising/editing stuff is just fixing things. You can’t fix what’s not there, so yeah, writing that first draft is the hardest.
It absolutely is the hardest, everything is fun. So, I’m leaning into the joy of having all the story there and messing around with sentences!
