As long as that keeps happening, all is not lost. 🙂
I might get some writing in, I definitely will not be making lofty writing plans. Why would I? Really? I know this book is moving steadily. I know I’m on track for a June/July launch next year. As long as I keep going, it’ll happen. It always does.
I’m heading into some twisty places with [IRL]. Now I know why it is [IRL] and not something else. No, I’m not telling you. You’ll have to wait.
Sometimes I wonder when a title pops into my head. I mean where did it come from? What does my subconscious know that I didn’t when I started this particular story?
My mind is keeping more secrets from me than I realised. 🙂
Anywho, So far, [IRL] is very much Ronnie’s POV. There is a bit of Crockett. And there is some Emily.
And it’s keeping me interested as it all plays out. I take that as a good sign.
Meanwhile, this is a family week and a family weekend. 🙂
We’re going out today.
I’m confident I’ll remember to take my watches to MJH in the city. They’re already in my bag. New batteries are required. Gotta love that lifetime battery replacement warranty.
In other news, a have a mate who has a detective novel coming out next year (fingers crossed). I’ll see if I can get him to pop to my blog for a chat at some stage.
Remember my author interrogations?
Perhaps we should bring them back for a little while?
Anywho, think on that. If you’re a crime author and you’d like to be interrogated by a Kiwi, hit me up in the comments. (There is no charge. I love interrogating authors. I mean, chatting with authors. And it’ll be a written format.)
Dallas says: Just do it.

I know just what you mean about books taking you in interesting directions. I think that’s what keeps an author interested while writing. It’s one of the fun things in and among all the slogging things. I hope you enjoy your family time this week!
Oh, and about that author interrogation thing… I think it’s a fantastic idea. I know one US author who’d love to to be a part of it. She’s just had a book come out about six weeks ago. You might have read it in one of its earlier forms… ahem
I might have read it in both its earlier form and it’s published form. 🙂 🙂
I’ll be in touch with a list of questions next week! xx
Yay!!! Thank you!
