I’ve reached the age of having my glasses around my neck on a lovely beaded thingy. It’s mostly to stop them flying off my face and getting kicked across the ground. They’re expensive and I’ve already got two scuff marks on them. So, glasses keeper it is then. While I was at it, I got two neoprene glasses cases. They won’t rattle in those. The neoprene zippered cases are lighter than my other solid cases and they’re brightly coloured. Should be able to see them in my bag. Yep, I’m that old.

Anywho, apart from the glasses nonsense, I finished reading [Indigo Romeo Lima] at about the same time my editor finished reading.
A couple of things …
1. I enjoyed reading it (who the fuck am I?). Really enjoyed it.
2. My editor very much enjoyed the story and the number of laugh-out-loud moments.
3. I made notes but not really story notes, more comments about stupid shit I did, like spelling Poets Block as Poet’s Block. (WTF?) 🙂
4. I think I’ve finally let Ronnie be Ronnie. Six books in and I feel like she’s come into her own or I stopped worrying about her being a Kiwi Ellie (because she isn’t and never was) and just let her be.
5. I really love the cover. I wasn’t sure until I saw it in person. And I fucking love it.
6. I accidentally started writing book seven: [Foxtrot Foxtrot Sierra].
7. What can I tell ya? Accidents happen.
8. My grandson Deaglan is walking into a recording studio this afternoon – ready to record some of his raps. We are ridiculously excited. This is HUGE.
9. On Tuesday someone asked me how old my grandson was and then went into shock. Apparently I do not look old enough to have a 22 yr old grandson. She thought we were the same age because her son is 22. (Bless.)
10. I sent out a newsletter today. I forget I can do that. 🙂
