Floundering a bit at the moment. Turns out I'm not 100% convinced that I know what I'm going to do next. It's quite a weird feeling after years of knowing exactly what the next step was - listen to Ellie and write, rinse and repeat. Now it's wide open and could be anything and I don't … Continue reading What am I waiting for?

I Know It’s Gonna Happen Someday
Bonus points if you recognize the song title and know which album it comes from. I am not sleeping at all well at the moment. Figure it's a whole bunch of things including My Knight having fairly major surgery next week and due to asshats who can't do simple things like - not spread COVID … Continue reading I Know It’s Gonna Happen Someday
Sympathy for the Devil
Monday morning was spent moving furniture, because it is impossible to get all the seed husks and small feathers the birds drop, without moving EVERYTHING. So, the kitchen was pretty well gutted. It echoed mid-way through the process, which was a bit freaky!Turns out I'm quite allergic to seed husks and dust from seeds. Big … Continue reading Sympathy for the Devil
Couldn’t Have Said It Better Myself
So a few things this week, early July is a mixed bag with an anniversary that makes me smile despite the origin and an anniversary of an event that tore my life apart. That's enough in the first few days, right? But no, not this year ... now we have Byte Series pens!! Hooray!! (There … Continue reading Couldn’t Have Said It Better Myself

I discovered … Continue reading Time is on my side
Bad Moon Rising
I opened the cupboards yesterday and nodded at the contents, those tins know what's what. For years I've maintained a minimum tinned/dry/whatever food level, why?BECAUSE I LIVE IN NEW ZEALAND. At any minute the earth can throw a fucking fit and up end everything. Has done before, will do again. It seems to quite like … Continue reading Bad Moon Rising
Made up holiday, anyone?
To be honest we don't really bother about Valentine's - the whole long distance thing makes it hard enough without adding commercial 'holidays' to the mix. (Bad enough that we weren't together for our birthdays and Christmas last year!) But, we're pretty good at appreciating each other every day. :)I know a lot of you … Continue reading Made up holiday, anyone?
I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing …
Thanks for that gem Aerosmith. I do love it. I pressed play, had no idea what I was listening to last - so, the Armageddon sound track was a nice surprise. 🙂 This song in particular has been a favorite for years. I've been hard at it over the last few days, making a lot … Continue reading I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing …
