When will you be mine?

Last night was another crappy nights sleep but while I was not sleeping I discovered a story thread (in my mind) that I think I’m going to explore. Has a little to do with foreshadowing but not what anyone would expect. Anywho, I’m going to see how far it goes and what happens. This is definitely a “because I can” situation. I am, in fact, the only person who can do this. 🙂 🙂
That’s the joy of creating a new story with characters that belong to me.
Unlike people who cannot belong to another person. Characters can. And I have quite a list of characters that are 100% mine from inception to dust.
And I will not be giving anyone permission to use them in other works unless a good deal of money comes my way.
I think that’s fair.
I wonder if this “thread” that emerged in the dark of the night is going somewhere?

Apart from that, I am working on [Foxtrot Mike Lima] and it’s about 18K in now, so, making progress. Slow progress but still going in the right direction. It pleases me to make progress. I am having to limit how much typing and/or hand writing I do at once. At the moment I’m breaking it into 1k chunks with about two hours between. A bit annoying but better than nothing.

Last night I wanted something to read and I really could not face the book I’d started the other night. It’s annoying me. So many books do! Anywho, I flicked through reading material on my Kindle and ended up with Eraserbyte! Yes, I am reading my own book. The thing is, I haven’t read this book since it was published in 2015 by Rebel ePublishers. And I’m enjoying it. I’m seeing things I’d forgotten and entire scenes that I can’t recall at all. How fun is that? FYI, it’s a fucking good story.

Today was Pain Clinic day. Pretty interesting stuff really. No doubt I’ll be learning things I can use for a character or two. Everything is an opportunity to gather info if you’re a writer.

For your listening pleasure, here’s an album I love:

  1. I love it when I get the thread of a story, Cat; it can be a lot of fun exploring it and seeing where it may go. And I know what you mean about writing going slowly; I’m in the same situation at the moment, but that’s how it is with some writing…
