Any Bon Jovi fan knows, exactly what words are missing from today's blog title. 🙂 I am listening to Bon Jovi (imagine?) this morning, trying to find some energy for today. I need energy today for another long walk. That's six in a row. I am tired. Anyway, I did get some writing done this … Continue reading “I ain’t gonna be … in the crowd”

Promised Land
No secret that I love me some Elvis. Promised Land is way up there as one of my favourite songs that Elvis sang.Today was a really fun day. Always lovely to have a visit from Anne Barwell, one of our fabulous authors. Then, we had the filming for the Wellington Airport Regional Community Awards. Much … Continue reading Promised Land
I’d Die For You
You might recognise the blog title as a Bon Jovi song. I will add the playlist at the end, it's one I made for my birthday last year. I have a feeling it'll come in handy this December as well. 🙂 So, anywho, writing. Do you think I can finish book 4 in 11 weeks? … Continue reading I’d Die For You
The struggle is real …
Sometimes the struggle to carve out writing time is painfully difficult. Kinda where I am at the moment. I know I need to finish [Whiskey Tango Foxtrot] and I really like the story, it's great fun to write. I just can't seem to force my backside into a chair and get it done. It's so … Continue reading The struggle is real …
How do you write?
Quite the question really. I'm always fascinated by how other authors do their thing. I know how I write. I know how stories come together for me. I know to trust my process because I've learnt to trust how my mind works. (Learnt is the correct word, I'm not American.) Doris was watching me work … Continue reading How do you write?

I was thinking it’s been a minute since I’ve given away a fabbo prize pack. What’s better than snuggling up with a book and other goodies in winter?(Clearly, me snuggling up with My Knight would be better, but it’s not about me.)How hard should we make this?Yeah, that’s what I thought.I’ll keep my codes to myself … Continue reading It’s been a minute …
Just might be what I was looking for …
A few months ago I removed my books from Google Play. Mostly because they were haranguing me about providing ID and wouldn't pay royalties until I did - my ID expired. I couldn't provide ID if I didn't have ID. But I do now. Yay for a 10-year passport. Since removing my books they emailed … Continue reading Just might be what I was looking for …
Turn The Page …
Going with a Bob Seger classic today. Let me tell you about the last few days. They've been nuts. I posted on Twitter a couple of days ago about Skippy the Bush Kangaroo. And so many people fondly remember Skippy. I've even heard from the son of Liza Goddard (Liza played Clarissa/Clancy in the series). … Continue reading Turn The Page …
How’s your weekend?
I'm currently listening to a 70's playlist on Spotify and drinking a Corona - with lemon because I'm out of limes. I've worked out what we're having for dinner. I fancied fish pie but Doris doesn't like it. Gosh, there's a surprise! 🙂 So we're having stuffed potatoes.Think about this ... I stuff potatoes with … Continue reading How’s your weekend?
Trolls are alive and well …
Seems that all it takes to cop abuse is to be a Kiwi author and run a boosted post about a new release. Guess there are some very unhappy Australians out there who enjoy knocking Kiwis for no reason at all. Never mind the people who assume a boosted post for [Leave a message] is … Continue reading Trolls are alive and well …
