It's a week until The byte Series Volume Four launches. I don't know how to mark that. I've never really done much for the launch of the boxed sets. I do know the first boxed set launched on Halloween so I chose to launch the last boxed set on Halloween. I do have quite a … Continue reading Last Man Standing.

In My Secret Life
Thanks to Leonard Cohen for the blog title (yes, there will be a link down below to this track). It's probably no secret to anyone here that I grew up with Leonard Cohen loving parents. So, I'm a wee bit familiar with his music and poems. Anywho, moving right along. The reason I chose 'In … Continue reading In My Secret Life
The joy of writing …
It is a joy. I'm thoroughly enjoying Ronnie, Ben, and Crockett and the new WIP [Leave a message] - which you can expect to see next year. Not putting a date on that yet, but next year. 🙂 Already had a few people come into the bookshop asking for it. Not yet, folks! Yes, I … Continue reading The joy of writing …
Neon Sunrise/Level 4: day 1
Here we go New Zealand, our Level Four lockdown is underway, we got this. We are a team of 5 million. Let's not forget that. Stay home, stay safe, be kind. We do not want to follow the Aussie example! Meanwhile, the bookshop is obviously closed. We can't sell online either until Level Four eases. … Continue reading Neon Sunrise/Level 4: day 1
Attached to tech?
I am. I have no problem admitting it. Tech is my lifeline. It's how I communicate with my partner every day. It's the only way we survived 18 months apart, and now, we're back to FaceTime and texts because that 5000km (and change) distance requires tech. It's no secret that I love my MacBook. I really … Continue reading Attached to tech?

It was great fun. Books with Byte ends the byte series. We launched Vaporbyte (both versions) because … Continue reading News at 10.
Almost jersey weather!
Part of me is delighted, because last year I knitted AWESOME jerseys but the rest of me is unimpressed because I like summer and very much dislike winter. (And it's coming!) Yesterday I wore my big purple knitted jacket, it was cold enough. Today, I'm working from home so an old hoodie will do the … Continue reading Almost jersey weather!
Today someone said …
I was talking to a friend at writing group today about the upcoming "Books with Byte" event. She mentioned that it sounds like I do it all myself. That would be, because I do.It never really occurred to me. Not like, sit and think about it, occurred to me. I knew I did everything myself but … Continue reading Today someone said …
Listening … and writing.
There are different kinds of listening. We know this. There's listening to understand and we should all do more of that, and then there are those people who aren't really listening, they're waiting for space to speak. Sometimes they don't even wait, they just talk right over people. Don't be them! Sometimes people appear to … Continue reading Listening … and writing.
