Today is a home day. I got halfway to the bookshop but felt like shit so I turned around and walked home. What I thought was hayfever might not be. We'll see.Something cool happened last night. Bestie sent a photo of her partner wearing a Vaporbyte (purple) shirt, and she has one too! So now … Continue reading Born this way.

The BS neighbours
How was your Tuesday? This is how mine was:Home sick.Not-Neighbours bullshit kicked off about 9am.And carried on with even more losers turning up during the morning. Of course, Bog Mouth doesn't want to argue but argues constantly with Stupid Ben. She also low-key accused Stupid Ben of making the child sick because "she wasn't sick … Continue reading The BS neighbours
Road to nowhere.
Another week zapped by and here we are looking at another Saturday. I was supposed to be teaching crime writing today. It should've been the first lesson. But, Omicron has fucked that. About 40 classes were cancelled for Omicron related reasons. 😦 I get it though. To be honest with the muppet protest in the … Continue reading Road to nowhere.
My patience is at an all-time low
Mostly because for whatever reason my wrist woke me up during the night and just will not quit being super fucking painful. Doesn't matter if I use it or not. Same same. It's annoying AF.Another month before I see the surgeon. Here's hoping he can fix the cartilage tear and the other few things that … Continue reading My patience is at an all-time low
I’ll Be Waiting
It's Tuesday. New Zealand went to RED at midnight on Sunday night. We cancelled our "Inside Quote Marks" event yesterday. Our authors are wonderfully supportive and kind, and all understand that this is how it has to be. I don't think I ever believed we would be able to run this event. I'm not overly … Continue reading I’ll Be Waiting
Writing music:
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3sqb97qAXnHh1yZNYN7Z1d?si=97aafb9b517a4629 Welcome to Friday. This week was a big week for my brain. It's been a bit migrainy which is unusual these days - because I'm taking meds to prevent migraines, but, the thing with that is, it doesn't stop them completely. Nothing does. That would take magic. (When volcanoes erupt and other things interfere with … Continue reading Writing music:
One step closer.
Today started rough. Last night was a disaster, I got bugger all sleep. That doesn't not make for a fun day, I can assure you. AND THEN ... I took the wrong glasses with me to work. The lighting in the bookshop fucks my migraine brain big time, there is only so much prevention medication … Continue reading One step closer.
And so it goes …
January is marching on and I'm pretty well over it already. Probably not the greatest start to 2022 to be already over the year. But that's how it is. I could lie and say how glorious the new year is, but it fucking isn't. Never the less good stuff is happening and life moves on. … Continue reading And so it goes …
Who shot Crockett?
🙂 Did anyone shoot Crockett? You'll find out when [Leave a message] launches around about the middle of 2022. If he survives without a scratch I'll be very surprised. So will you now. 🙂 Anywho, I had a dream last night that wouldn't quit. I woke at one point to turn the fan off and … Continue reading Who shot Crockett?
Christmas is over.
In some ways, I'm glad to see the back of it for another year. It's a day I don't particularly enjoy. There's a lot of cooking and cleaning involved, and then a lot of clean-up. I enjoy having the kids home, that bit is pretty awesome but the rest of it is long and tiring. … Continue reading Christmas is over.
